Work together and report directly to the Softline office Manager

Collaborate with head office to develop, implement and follow up the sourcing strategic plan for Asian Sourcing Office.

Source new factories and products in Asia

Work actively with evaluation and development of existing as well as new suppliers

Set up and develop the international supplier database.

Plan for buyer visits and accompany during supplier visits, trade shows and factories.

Work with Sr. Merchandiser team in price and quotation management

Effective negotiations with suppliers and factories

Assist the coordination of contract and businesses term negotiation with suppliers and factories

Work closely with the Quality Controller within his/her area

Prepare the QC file and arrange the schedules of quality inspections

Visit suppliers regularly to solve / prevent production problem and maintain the positive relationship.

Arrange testing of the products and ensure the needed certificates are in place

Develop working procedures filing systems and do filing.

Make sure delivery times are punctual and quality standards reached for submission packages and production.

Assist in claim settlement.

Requirements

• University degree (preferable textile specialization)
• Have 1+ years of actual working experiences in garment, textile or related to orders follow up within foreign trading company or buying office.
• Basic knowledge of fabric, workmanship and garment production process
• Experience in quality controlling
• Familiarized with textile export requirements and standard of American market
• Trading mentality
• Open mind, organized, positive attitude and good communication, supervisory ability, goal oriented.
• Fluent in oral and written English & Chinese
• Excellent personal presentation
• Proactive, Results oriented, committed, highly motivated.
• High sense of responsibility and capable of working independently.
• Computer knowledge (Windows, MS office, Outlook Express)
• Schedule flexibility
• International travel availability
