Job Description

About The Role:

The Sales Operations Department provides operational support and strategic support to global sales teams and provides the critical link between sales and finance. This role will primarily revolve around two key areas within RWS’s sales division: reporting and data quality. The team works closely with many cross functional departments to ensure all activities are completed to a high degree of accuracy. The team has a reputation for high standards and high-quality data provision, and this reputation needs to be maintained at all times.

 

There are many operational processes now in force in the department. It is the role of the Junior Operations Analyst to work with these processes to ensure that the Operations team deliver high quality support to the Commercial organisation throughout the entire sales cycle, including an effective forecasting process through to detailed insights on our closed data. The successful candidate will partner with sales leaders across the business and review existing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and identify new ones that will provide insights necessary to improve the overall success of the business.

 

The department must be able to scale effectively as the business grows while maintaining tight control on costs. The Junior Operations Analyst is expected to continually evaluate the tasks they undertake on a regular basis and to look for opportunities to improve existing processes and to discuss these with the Global Business Operations Director and to work as a team to implement new ideas.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the integrity and consistency of corporate data
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to implement strategic projects and transformational initiatives
  • Prepare and maintain dashboards and reporting in various platforms  
  • Provide insight and actionable analysis and recommendations
  • Support sales leaders in producing forecasts and reporting
  • Review team processes and own work methods with a view to improve efficiency and effectiveness of allocated tasks
  • Assist in the production and collation of all compensation related documentation
  • Understand foundational skills to Sales Order Processing

 

 

Technical and Personal Skills

Essential

  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Able to thrive under pressure in a busy environment
  • Adaptable to quickly changing business requirements
  • Organized approach to all tasks
  • Good team player with the ability to work on own initiative as required
  • Ability to communicate confidently
  • Excellent time management and deadline oriented 

Desirable

  • Experience in working with large volumes of data
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning or other CRM systems
  • Knowledge of and experience with Business Intelligence platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Sisense)
  • Familiarity with sales KPIs
  • Previous experience in a fast moving, sales orientated company
  • Strong business acumen
  • Educated to degree level
