RWS Division:

Trados Enterprise is a SaaS platform built in a microservice architecture using Java based on Spring Boot. We are adopters of leading OSS cloud stacks like Netflix OSS and Spring Cloud for building resilient, fault tolerant and scalable products. The micro services are usually exposed through a REST API and are consumed through SDKs or by our own web applications which are usually built in ExtJS. We implement Continuous Delivery by using tools like Maven, Jenkins, Selenium, Cucumber and JMeter, Pact, Nexus and deploying our services through Chef recipes on a hybrid cloud offered by NTT and Amazon AWS.

About The Role:

We’re looking for a Mid QA Engineer with 1+ years of experience who would like to dive into the world of Big Data through new technologies. Our ideal colleague is someone who loves to find defects, has good knowledge of agile practices and wants to enter the Big Data world, to learn and grow continuously by making use of a self-driven mindset.

Responsibilities:

As a QA engineer for Trados Enterprise, you will:

• Be responsible for testing features through manual and automated testing
• Be working with and learning from senior members within the team to implement broader automation coverage across current and future projects.
• Estimate test effort, design, develop, and deploy testing techniques for new applications or enhancements to existing applications
• Develop and execute test plans and detailed test cases based on requirements
• Document results; offer observations or improvements after analysis of test results and overall product quality
• Support and enhance test processes the QA area
• Ensure test case execution trough integration of all developed test cases into the build chain (across all testing environments)
• Install and set up software in a virtual and controlled environment
• Identify and seek out opportunities for the continual improvement of processes, procedures, and infrastructure to increase efficiency, reduce risk, and provide stability
• Identify, log, and track errors according to the standards of the company
• Contribute to the pre-testing phase of project development by evaluating proposals to identify potential problem areas and make appropriate recommendations

Requirements:

• 1 or more years of experience in a testing-related role
• Good knowledge related to: Databases, Jenkins, Networking, Operating Systems, dependencies, and application issues
• Has experience in writing clear test cases and automating test cases
• Writing simple SQL queries and using a relational database and NoSQL
• Testing experience in a web/API applications
• Design and execute script-based testing techniques
• Strong knowledge of various testing types
• Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, communicate, and resolve general system, data, or application issues
• Ability to adjust your testing approach within the existing application or environment when issues occur
• Ability to work in an Agile team and adjust to shifting priorities
• Experience with issue tracking tools such as Jira
• Excellent understanding of QA processes and methodology
• A willingness to improve skill set and learn new technologies and techniques
• Great communicator and able to work and collaborate with others
• You like a challenge and want to continuously improve your skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Highly self-motivated

Nice to have:

• Experience with Apache Flink/Apache Spark
• Experience with Apache Kafka 
• Good knowledge related to: Java, OOP, REST APIs
• ISTQB Fundamentals Certification
