As the incumbent of this Quality & Regulatory (Q&R) role within Philips, your challenge will be to guide and support the Markets and functions to always do the right thing. As a Junior QMS (Quality Management System) Manager within the PQMS Markets Central Team, you will support QMS compliance during the Quality “Accelerate” Transition program; ensuring that QMS processes comply with regulations. You will secure that the QMS is consistent and check the effectiveness of the QMS processes.

As Junior QMS Manager, you will support the QMS integration and standardization programs in the Market organization of Philips. The Market activities covers both medical and non-medical products from Personal Health, Connected Care, Image Guided Therapy and Precision Diagnosis. As these programs covers more than 80 Philips sites and 26.000+ employees, this role is a highly visible position right in the centre of the action.

Key areas of responsibilities for this role include:

  • Supports the maintenance, enforcement, and management of a compliant and effective Markets OneQMS

  • Support the transition of standalone QMS’s into the Markets OneQMS

  • Support the transition of E2E programs into the Markets OneQMS, while maintaining compliance and effectiveness throughout the duration of the transition to the Markets OneQMS

  • Manage gap assessments towards ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820 and EU MDR

  • Supports the transition to the “end state” of the Markets OneQMS according to the Philips Excellence Process Framework

  • Support the training and training administration as per the QMS and contributes to training curriculum setup according to the Philips Business System.

  • Support the Change Control process by driving assigned Change Requests to closure

The PQMS Markets Central Team plans, controls and manages relevant QMS activities for all 17 Markets worldwide within Philips. This includes clusters Personal Health, Connected Care, Image Guided Therapy and Precision Diagnosis. The core business of the Markets is Sales, Marketing, Distribution, Installation, Consumer Care and Customer Servicing of Philips medical and non-medical devices and solutions designed & manufactured by the Philips Businesses.

The PQMS Markets Central team consist of 25 QMS professionals mainly based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. You will be reporting directly to the Head of PQMS Markets.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

Specific skill requirements for this role:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a disciplined regulated industry

  • Full understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820. Preferably knowledge of EU MDR/IVDR

  • Project management experience, leading smaller or supporting complex projects where not directly responsible for all required deliverables

  • Good communication skills across all levels and cultures of the organization

  • Able to analytically assess impact to the Markets OneQMS and the local organization of E2E programs.

  • Able to proactively and independently resolve issues in creative ways

  • Flexible in working hours due to the global scope

  • A hands-on mentality

  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English
