Job Description

工作职责:
• 收集和了解美术在开发方面的3D需求,并评估技术可行性。
• 分析引擎中现有的3D功能的可用性。
• 在需要时,通过设计和实施新的系统提出改进建议。
• 与图形TD合作,设定限制条件,并将3D功能的技术可能性传达给美术团队。
• 支持由生产部门设计的3D系统的功能。
• 优化,调试,编写文档。

You will work with one of our AAA production teams on a brand new graphics engine designed for the Next Generation Consoles and PC’s (DX11.3/12 feature level), and collaborate closely with the art direction and design in developing the state of the art visual features with the minimum performance cost. Moreover, you will also be able to enjoy the direct access and sharing to the newest rendering research with rest of the Ubisoft teams, following the latest graphics study papers and technology presentations in general.

Responsibilities:
• Compile and understand the 3D needs of the artists’ in terms of the information development and assess the technical feasibility.
• Analyze existing 3D functions in the engine for their usability.
• Suggest improvements by designing and implementing new systems when needed.
• Collaborate with the Graphic TD to set the constraints and communicate the technical possibilities of the 3D functions to the Art Team.
• Support the functions of the 3D Systems designed by the production.
• Optimization, debugging, documentation.

Qualifications

• 计算机科学/工程等教育背景
• 擅长数学,尤其是线性代数,微积分
• 良好的C/C++编程能力
• 良好的英语书面和口头表达能力
• 了解当前的图形硬件和API
• 了解一般的渲染技术
• 了解HLSL和Cg编程的人优先
• 了解多线程编程和GPU编程者优先

Requirements:
• Education background in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong in mathematics, especially linear algebra, calculus
• Good C/C++ programming skills
• Understanding of current graphics hardware and APIs
• Understanding of the general rendering technology
• Good written and verbal English
• Know HLSL and Cg programming are highly appreciated
• Know multithreaded programming and GPU programming are highly appreciated

About Program Origin (源·计划):
Program Origin is a game development trainee program initiated by Ubisoft Shanghai, aiming to identify outstanding graduates (less than one year of work experience) with huge potential from both domestic and overseas universities. Students will be selected to join our three-month training and practice focusing on four core functions of programming, designing, art and animation.
Students in Program Origin will be coached by Ubisoft senior experts who have more than ten years of experience in AAA game production, attend courses specifically developed by the company and the program team, and apply what they have learned into practice, to lay a solid professional foundation. In the training, students will have full and close exposure to Ubisoft’s advanced industrialized management process, self-developed engine research as well as trainings on game development skills.
In the final stage, students from Program Origin who pass the interviews will join Ubisoft Shanghai to work on the core teams for the development and production of major IP projects such as Heroes of Might & Magic®, Far Cry®, The Division®, Just Dance® and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora™.
