The Windows Cyber Defense is a team in Microsoft Haifa, Israel R&D center which building security product for enterprises called Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection.
Our mission is to provide protection and defense for Windows’ Mac’s and Linux’s hundreds of millions of users against malicious attacks and cybercrime.

For ensuring our next generation client quality, we are looking for a software tester, with proven experience around testing Windows, MacOS and/or Linux and other Microsoft’s server and client-side technologies.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

• Define and run regression and exploratory test cycles. Cover functional, security and responsiveness aspects of Windows, Mac and Linux system services according to highest quality standards
• Simultaneously work with several internal groups and efficiently prioritize your tasks according to group schedules and priorities
• Troubleshoot test failures and log actionable defects in a defect database
• Learn and Write automation tests/scripts to execute against our product in order to validate its promises and quality

Qualifications

What you need for this position:

• At least 1 years’ experience in application testing and troubleshooting in Windows, Linux and/or MacOs
• Ability to create and follow clear and concise test plans and test status reports
• Good knowledge of some of the below:
  • Windows, Microsoft and Internet technologies – e.g. HTTP, cmd/PowerShell Scripting, Active-Directory, SCCM, GP, WMI
  • MacOS, Apple, Linux OS/technologies
  • Debugging and troubleshooting tools – e.g. Cmd, Python, Bash, Powershell, SysInternals
• Clear writing and fluent reading in English
• Good communication skills
