Job Description
Principal Accountabilities:
- To achieve agreed sales budgets for all product groups across the territory within contribution guidelines.
- To effective manage a sales team (2-6 team members), hire, train, motivate, and develop each sales engineer to achieve business result, demonstrate Edwards ACTs value to develop high motivated team.
- To develop and implement sales and marketing strategies for the territory, including to developed new team sales members. New team member development program to provide well trained, directed and motivated sales staff interfacing with customers.
- Key Account Management of most important customers to maximize business opportunities within defined strategies. Provide business direction to on site managers.
- To improve market awareness of Edwards products and services through seminars, technical papers, exhibitions, advertising, etc liaising with regional Marketing Officer.
- To review the application requirements of each business opportunity thus ensuring optimal equipment specification and operating procedures.
- To liaise with regional sales / service specialists in the preparation of product support plans for all products across the territory, and to co-ordinate the implementation of these with regional service managers.
- To participate in peer group communication at all levels in the Edwards global organization to share application references & sales successes, and ensure effective support for global Edwards customers for these products.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Technical degree in one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Microelectronics or significant experience in the technical industry
- Sales and business development skills, 8 + years sales experience, 4+ years experience within the vacuum or process industries field.
- Knowledge of OEM process equipment and their requirements for vacuum, exhaust gas management, chemical and others technologies
- Good commercial and technical competence in order to command customer respect.
- High motivation to win business and high sensitivity to customer needs
- Experience of managing major customer accounts and negotiating with Senior fab managers.
- Commercial experience in negotiating large contracts, commercial experience with big bidding procedure in vacuum industry.
- High level of initiative in problem solving with the customer and post sale support within Edwards
- Self-motivation and ability to work under pressure.
- Good interpersonal skills, both on an individual and team basis
- Ability to develop a new sales team. Stable the whole team’s sales amount in the market.
- Good presentational skills, both on an individual and group basis at all levels.
- Mobility, with expectations of frequent travel within China
