Job Description
Position Purpose & Summary
Diamond V (DV) China seeks to become the Trusted Advisor to its Aqua customers through a practical and applied approach to delivering industry leading health and nutrition solution concepts as well as enhanced profitability to Aqua producers, feed millers, and integrators across Asia.

This key position enables the Diamond V Asia business to enhance its commercial growth agenda in the aqua markets across Asia. This role will focus on building sustainble growth with large Aqua Key Accounts in the region by developing trust and strong customer relationships, identifying their key unmet or poorly met needs, and working with the Technical and Marketing teams in DV Asia to recommend the right solutions. Work activities may include presenting, developing solutions, recommendations, structuring and negotiating contracts, setting targets and measuring results.

As the Key Account Manager Aqua, this role will focus on identifying new business development opportunities, both within existing customers as well as new customer prospects. This person will be expected to drive the Key Account Management process, mobilizing the right resources at the right time for the right objectives. This will include comprehensive sales planning for all Diamond V products and services and ensuring timely execution of all related activities.

Principal Accountabilities
1.60%: Sales Execution/Performance and Key Account Management
Translates the long-term aqua sales strategy in China into defined and quantifiable sales objectives, goals and definitions of targets (i.e. customers, volumes). In conjunction with the Director CHINA, helps to set the budget and is accountable for the overall management for Aqua commercial sales across Asia Pacific. Accountable for the development and execution of detailed customer plans of activities to pursue, reassess, and ensure sales targets and goals are achieved. Ensures development of negotiation and closing plans and attractive value propositions to selected key accounts as well as through distribution.

Drive key account management and planning, including understanding customer decision making processes, delineating organizational structures for each account, and determining how best to align the Diamond V value proposition with the customer’s key needs. This will include a strong grasp of what resources are needed at what stage in the Sales Process to effectively negotiate and close commercial deals. In addition, anticipating risks and subsequently crafting mitigation plans to respond to said risks will be paramount in ensuring success in the role. This role must be comfortable with the technicalities of the aqua industry and in presenting the Diamond V aqua value proposition, which will include details of the Mode of Action, benefits, and services in which the company delivers value to its customers. It will also liase closely with the Marketing and Technical teams to deliver said value proposition and help build a strong foundation of trust and sustainable growth.

2.25%: Customer Relationship Management
Initiates, develops and maintains long lasting set of customer relationships with a broad set of gatekeepers, influencers and decision makers, especially for select key accounts. Facilitates strategic intercompany networking between Diamond V and customers to provide value where needed and maintain a high level of service to help customer achieve its goals.
Develops deep industry/market knowledge and collaborates cross-functionally to identify and inform emerging industry trends and potential business opportunities. Using Cargill’s Sales framework, this role will seek to understand and identify customer needs and actively support the design and deployment of product and service solutions.
Finally, this will support the collection and maintenance of key account data via customer relationship management (CRM) tools, which will be a critical component for effective sales management and long-term customer growth.

3.15%: People, Teamwork and Cooperation
Proactively engages with key Diamond V team members to create and support effective collaboration and team work, driven by the Key Account Management process. Exemplifies Cargill leadership expectations and values, while supporting the continuous development of integrated relationships both with internal and external stakeholders. Partners with the Portfolio Manager to provide direct input and support to the product line strategy.

Qualifications
Education, Experience, Skills
1.Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Aquaculture, Animal Biology, Animal Nutrition, Animal Health or associated subjects
  • Demonstrated relationships and track record with key stakeholders in the large key aqua / shrimp customers across China
  • At least 10+ years working experience in aquaculture or shrimp farming company, preferably from a health or nutrition and / or feed additive background
