Job Description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

This role will define the business development plan and execute commercial strategy along with Global account management, sales and marketing, as it pertains to all areas of the Industrial markets. This position is responsible for both championing quantitative and qualitative objectives

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

New market development & Key account management.

• Develop and implement go to market Business Development strategies, especially automotive OEM and PDI customer.

• Take lead on spec-in activity and generate sales leads for commercial team and work close with technical team to convert it into sales result. Build up strong network with brand owners, convertors and designers,

• Define the value proposition to the targeted market, customers and industry including service, price and product platform strategies.

• Work across Avery Dennison Graphic cross functional teams to achieve material specification with all stakeholders;

• Execute pricing and monitor profitability with new Product & Sales Management.

• Develop and execute appropriate business plans/multi-generation product plans to identify trends, opportunities for marketplace advantage, and new ideas for products, processes and services.

• Develop personal contacts and business relationships with major clients.

 

Qualifications

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

  •  Around 5 years’ chemical business experience, emphasizing business development / technically proficient, sales and marketing, project experience is an asset;

  • Demonstrated success in cross-regional & cross-functional projects or initiatives.

  • Strong experience in spec-in activity;

  • Automotive industry background and experience of spec-in automotive OEM or PDI projects will be a plus. 

  • Experience in planning, forecasting, researching new opportunities and implementing successful account penetration.

  •  Must be able to champion new business ventures. This will require excellent organizational and people skills, project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner.

  •  Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and function specific software.

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
