Job Overview

We are looking for a Key Account Manager to join the robustly growing Household Care Division in Novozymes China. In this role, you will take ownership for overall account management and activities of important customers for Novozymes China and reporting to Household Care (HHC) Sales Director. The location is in Shanghai, China. The goal is to achieve profitable growth by improving alignment, relationship, and execution with our Partners in the region. This position is established with the intent to strengthen the local presence. The detailed tasks and responsibilities will include, but not limited to below:

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive overall strategic direction of responsible key accounts by creating solid account plan
  • Orchestrate the relationship between key account and NZ with energy, passion and perseverance
  • Boost Customer Centricity and be the voice of key account inside Novozymes
  • Turn business and industry development into sales opportunities; meet account sales targets and set mid & long-term targets
  • Develop multi-layer sales relationships within the account, and organize/execute executive engagement if/when necessary
  • Identify competitive threats at accounts and inform by registering relevant information and follow-up on planned measures; identify, nurture and close new, highly qualified distribution partners
  • Ensure that price negotiations with customers are made in accordance with defined and agreed price strategies
  • Responsible for implementation of new product launch within account team
  • Close interaction with Technical service team regarding servicing customers, delivering technical sales trainings to ensure customer satisfaction
Key Qualifications
  • Possessing high integrity and belief in alignment with Novozymes’ touch values
  • Over 10 years’ working experience, with at least 5 years’ key account management experience in B2B business, preferably from specialty chemicals
  • Experience of value sales techniques to deliver value offerings with deep knowledge of NZ product offerings, through value chain analysis and competitor insights, etc.
  • Open-minded, demonstrating thinking out of the box approach to drive results
  • Strong business acumen, and leadership potential to drive cross-functional team efforts
  • Demonstrating traits featuring both independent and collaborative, able to achieve in a team setting
  • Excellent negotiation and deal closing skills, with demonstrable sales competency
  • Conversant in Mandarin and English – both spoken and written.
