In a nutshell
In this exciting position, you’ll analyze the internal performance of business units as well as external market trends. You’ll continuously challenge the status quo and identify potentials for the optimization of existing business as well as the development of new business opportunities. This includes recommendations for actions, identification of organic and inorganic growth potentials, the creation of business cases as well as assuming responsibility for projects.
Analysis
You’ll conduct in-depth analyses on internal performance (e.g. website traffic, TV market, sales performance) as well as on external market development, competition and trends in the media industry. From various data sources you’ll derive status and developments, evaluate the achievement of strategic goals and give recommendations for improvements and new business opportunities. You will prepare executive-level presentations on analyses and findings.
Identification of Business Opportunities
Based on internal and external analyses you’ll identify growth opportunities for our media business. You’ll create ideas, evaluate its potential and develop strategies and concepts for the execution in close alignment with all stakeholders. For new initiatives, you will take the project lead and ensure successful implementation in the business.
Stakeholder Management
In this role, you are in close contact with the business units to evaluate findings from analyses and work on growth opportunities. Establishing good and effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the business, you’ll create transparency and awareness for developments, opportunities and challenges.
Your experience includes:
(proven performance in)
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in business development, strategy, consulting or similar position
Strong analytical and numerical skills, experience in data analyses, interpreting data and creation of business cases
Experience in business development (e.g. market, competitor analyses, business evaluation, M&A)
Strategic mindset and sense for trends and market developments
Experience in media industry as well as in digital is a plus
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Well organized with the ability to work under pressure and deliver work to highest standard
Results-oriented team player with strong communication skills
Degree in Business Administration, Media Management, or equivalent
Fluent in English, German is a plus
