Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate, creative, and caring English Kindergarten Teacher to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Chinese co-teachers to deliver engaging lessons, foster children's curiosity, and create a positive classroom environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging English-language lessons and activities appropriate for young learners.
Create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Collaborate closely with Chinese co-teachers in lesson planning and classroom management.
Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate developmental records.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's learning and wellbeing.
Participate in school events, performances, professional development, and staff meetings.
Maintain classroom resources and ensure a safe learning environment.
Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
Qualifications
Essential
Bachelor's degree or above.
Native or fluent English speaker.
Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent).
Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience, preferably in early childhood education.
Passion for working with young children.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Positive, flexible, and collaborative attitude.
Preferred
Experience teaching in an international or bilingual school.
Knowledge of inquiry-based, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, EYFS, or IB PYP approaches.
Experience living or working in China.
