RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans suitable for preschool and kindergarten children
- Employ multiple educational methods (storytelling, educational play, games etc.) to teach children
- Observe and interact with each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to communicate with each other and resolve occasional conflicts
- Assist children in developing their artistic and practical skills through a carefully designed curriculum (identify shapes, colors or numbers, arts & crafts, etc.)
- Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure safety
- Track children's progress and discuss with parents
- Communicate with parents to understand the childrens' background and psyche
- Collaborate with colleagues
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom

SALARY

- 20,000 - 25,000 Chinese Yuan per month ($36,000 - $45,000 per year)

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field
- 2 years of full-time teaching experience
- Teachers over 60 are not eligible due to China's work visa policies
- Previous experience teaching one or more of the following curricula is a plus, but NOT required: Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, play-based, project-based
- TEFL, TESOL or CELTA is a plus, but NOT required
- Ability to speak Chinese is NOT required
