Novotel Melbourne South Wharf is currently seeking a Part Time Kitchen Steward to assist with the hotel kitchen operation. You will provide the highest level of attention to the cleanliness and sanitation of all food and storage outlets. You will report to the Head Chef.

Novotel Melbourne South Wharf is located in the beautiful South Wharf with a short walk to the CBD & Southbank. Featuring 347 Accommodation Rooms & Suites, Allora Cafe, and Mr. Carpano Dining and Bar. Our Bar is inspired by the Italian love of al fresco lifestyle, the bar boasts two outdoor terraces serving up a range of Italian and local beverages.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Operate dishwashing machinery to wash and sanitise crockery and kitchen implements.
- Clean and keep tidy the restaurant(s), kitchen(s) and all food outlets within the hotel.
- Keep storerooms clean and tidy at all times.
- Ensure hygiene and health and safety standards are met at all times.
- Overseeing the smooth operation of the Hotel's Loading Bay including relocating deliveries and waste disposal bins, following safe manual handling practices.
- Work with the kitchen to provide excellent service to our guests.
To be successful in this role you should demonstrate:
- Availability to work varied shifts including early morning, late evenings, weekends and public holidays
- A genuine passion for hospitality industry
- A positive can do attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to perform in a team and autonomously
