Novotel Melbourne on Collins is looking for a casual kitchenhand to join our team. We are in the heart of Melbourne, our iconic hotel features 380 guest rooms and 8 conference rooms. You will be self-motivated and enjoy working independently as well as in a team to ensure all tasks are completed to perfection.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

In this role you will be responsible for providing assistance to the Kitchen brigade in ensuring that all kitchen areas are kept hygienic and clean at all times.

• Rinse dirty crockery and cutlery, stack in the dishwasher, unload and put away
• wash pots by hand
• ensure that all Food and Beverage outlets are provided with clean and sanitised operating equipment
• use correct handling techniques to transport and store food items
• wipe down benches
• sweep and mop floors

 

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:

• Must be responsible, self-motivated and proactive – bringing a positive attitude to the hotel team at all times.
• The ability to work well within a team environment
