#### Position Description:

Lenovo is seeking an experienced Solution Architect who will be directly
responsible for engagements specific to the Lenovo Device Intelligence (LDI)
software portfolio.  The LDI portfolio is a cloud-based SaaS offering which
uses advanced predictive analytics and proactive device insights to monitor a
PC fleet’s health and performance issues then provides remediation’s to keep
PCs running at peak performance. The solution architect will work directly
with the hardware and services sales team after basic customer
prequalification has taken place – the solution architect will be actively
involved in the pre-sales discovery and scoping discussions with customers in
order to take a close look at ‘current state’ as well as ‘customer pain
points’ in order to recommend a tailored solution.  Advanced IT technical
understanding and skill set with software solutions will be critical in being
successful in this role. This role requires an individual who has a customer
centric mindset, is focused on proactive IT automation and efficiencies and
who is a creative problem solver.

Some of the key skills and responsibilities of the LDI Solution Architect
include:
\- Technical knowledge in order to describe both standard and custom solutions
around LDI
\- Design, Build and Deliver LDI solutions within a cloud, on-premises or
hybrid environment
\- Consultative services to clients, design management services and ability to
resolve complex infrastructure and systems concerns.
\- Ability to conduct demos of the solutions and be comfortable answering
technical questions
\- Ability to have technical fact finding discussions with customers;
understanding customers install base, technical environments, privacy
concerns, etc.
\- Contribute to LDI capacity planning and demand forecasting, performance
analysis and system tuning
\- The solution architect should have a thorough understanding of the
competitive landscape and the ability to clearly and technically differentiate
Lenovo’s LDI market position in the Digital Experience Monitoring category.
\- Evaluate customer opportunities and use the information to recommend either
an out-of-box standard delivery solutions or a custom solution
\- Skill set to be able to estimate the level of effort required to implement
a solutions;  provide an educated recommendation on the estimated number of
professional service hours required for the customer to purchase. If a custom
solution, you will collaborate with the Services delivery team to ensure that
team is clear on the scoped solution and agrees with estimated professional
service hours.
\- Ability to create a comprehensive, creative and cost effective solution
custom to the solution where required
\- Assisting and leading pricing exercises including helping sales team
selecting correct standard part numbers; if a custom solution is recommended
the solution architect will work on the financial modeling based on licensing
costs, number of service hours, etc.
\- Collaborate with internal teams;  ideal candidate will successfully partner
across multiple organizations including, but not limited to, sales; finance;
service delivery and customers
\- The Solution Specialist will also contribute to Customer presentations and
briefings as required
\- In the case of custom solutions, the Solution Specialist is responsible for
the development of a SOW contract including negotiation on redlines throughout
the contracting stage.

#### Position Requirements:


\- 10+ years of in-depth IT services and software related experience
\- Strong knowledge of device intelligence monitoring tools and capabilities
\- Experience working with a competitive offerings either from other PC
manufacturers or from software providers would be a huge benefit
\- Expert understanding of predictive/preventative maintenance IT data
analytics tools. (particularly those using Artificial Intelligence and
machine-learned data modeling would be a plus)
\- Strong understanding of installing software into a simple to complete
cloud-based, on-premises, hybrid architectures in order to accurately estimate
hours and recommend a complete solution.
\- Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, with
proven ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the
business to accomplish common goals
\- Experience working in a customer-facing environment
\- Extensive experience using MS tools (Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint,
Excel)
\- Proven ability to operate with a high level of professionalism;
entrepreneurialism and agility
