The Corporate Long-Term Retention (LTR) program is looking for an experienced engineer to be part of a team working in Intel's LTR Hub in Costa Rica. The Hub is where some of Intel products are stored in an active state, after being launched, to ensure ready and able to access when needed.
The Hub will provide Intel engineers around the world remote access to allow remote testing and debugging.
In this position, the engineer will work and support operators on installing and configuring VLANs, OS, software, and hardware; work with Information Technology to monitor and improve network performance, troubleshooting systems and basic network issues, engage with the Information Technology team for lab efficiencies and requirements. The engineer will work with Subject Matter Experts from different Business Units to translate their needs into requirements that IT can use to implement solutions.
The engineer must be familiar or willing to learn Intel lab network policies and practices and specific business unit hardware, testing configurations, and processes.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline OR be an advanced student with less than 6 months of completing degree.
- LAN, VLAN and WAN, subnetting and OS patching on Windows/Linux.
- System/network security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
- Intermediate to Advanced English level
- Candidate must have unrestricted permanent right to work in Costa Rica
- Willing to work weekends and holidays, in compressed work week schedule.
1+ years of experience with:
- A System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
- Deploying virtual machines, PXE.
- Managing data and macros in excel and other simple databases
- Programing (Json, Java, SQL, Python, C++)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience debugging Hardware and Software.
