RWS Regulated Industries division:  provides a full suite of language services exclusively for highly regulated industries such as Life Sciences, Healthcare, Financial services, and Legal industries.  This includes language solutions for clinical trial management and linguistic validation of Clinical Outcomes Assessments (COAs), insurance, retail, commercial and investment banking, compliance, mergers & acquisitions and Litigation

 

About The Role:

Under the general supervision of the Manager of Linguistic Validation Project Management, the LV Project Management Supervisor is a key member of the LV Project Management team and serves as a client contact and second-level escalation point for select client teams. The role administers the functions and operations of the Project Management department of the Linguistic Validation Division, ensuring the efficient, accurate and timely completion and shipment of all projects and assigned work. The position is responsible for a positive client experience including effectively addressing issues escalated from others, as appropriate.

 

The LV Project Management Supervisor oversees day-to-day project activities within the Project Management department and ensures production and project objectives are met including budgetary and KPI requirements.  The position regularly meets with teams to discuss open and emerging business issues as well as to make recommendations for improvements and lead on their implementation.

 

The LV Project Management Supervisor has department supervision responsibilities and direct reports across client teams.  The position completes individual performance reviews and sets goals for the team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Administers the project management department of the Linguistic Validation division functions and operations.
  • Ensures that all assigned client projects are completed in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner and delivered with a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Schedules and assigns work among employees/teams under supervision, sets work methods and performance standards, and monitors their performance.
  • Identifies, communicates, and manages production risks as appropriate to eliminate potential pitfalls or obstacles.
  • Ensures strict adherence to deadlines, budgets, and the completion of high-quality deliverables.
  • Actively manages any reported deficiency in Life Sciences deliverables, ensuring appropriate internal escalation and engagement of Sales, LV Management, and Account Management. Ensures timely and professional completion of root cause investigations and CAPA reports.
  • Recommends policies, procedures and/or actions for the purpose of improving efficiency and product quality, and for providing direction for meeting the company's project management objectives.
  • Understands and adheres to company Quality Management System (QMS) requirements including but not limited to ISO 9001 and ISO 17100 standards.  Assists in root cause analysis.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent in Business, English, Foreign Language, Social or Applied Science, or other related field.
  • Four or more years demonstrated successful LV project management experience.
  • Successful customer service/account management experience, generally a minimum of four years, including at least three years’ experience within the translation industry.
  • Demonstrated successful leadership or mentoring experience, minimum two years.
  • Advanced computing skills, including experience with TRADOS or other translation management tools (CAT, or Computer Aided Translation tools).
  • Experience with publishing applications (e.g. XML, JSON, In Design, etc.) a plus.
  • Verbal and written fluency in at least one foreign language a plus.
  • Previous translation experience preferred

Base Pay:

$92.000 / year

FLSA Status: Exempt

 

Actual rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to: position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
