Job Description

    In addition, you have sound negotiating skills, good communication skills, high level of integrity and maturity, strong ability to prioritize, provide clear directions and multi-task. Also, you have good judgment and ability take sound and common sense decisions.
    You have knowledge in the following areas:
    • comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of Business Navigation, including strategic finance, business steering and performance management and broad knowledge of all finance-related areas
    • broad knowledge of the IKEA concept, its Brand identity, Culture & Values and strategic directions
    • comprehensive knowledge of IKEA business, its market and industry; knowledge of Ingka group's core business operations and key interactions between businesses/functions
    • broad knowledge of Ingka’s business, financial and operational processes, their inter-dependencies and how to work through them
    • good understanding of data science, new technologies, analytics and their wide ranging application in business context
    • advanced knowledge of how to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders in Ingka
    • good knowledge of project management processes including methods and tools; and how to integrate them
    • good knowledge of the customer needs, demands and expectations on the markets
    • good knowledge of IKEA sustainability policies

    You have the ability to be part of strategic decision making forums as the country level management team member, you have 5years+ increased responsibility in business steering and finance related field preferably in the consumer segments.

    You have at least 3 years experiences as senior leader in large international organization leading team and leading leaders.

    You have ability in Business Partnering, i.e. strategic, tactical and operational business partner with strong analytical skills to translate business needs into financial consequences and solutions as well as in Networking, i.e. strong network and relationship builder both within and outside of the own organization, you are a strong communicator with capacity to influence decisions and create energy and commitment within the organization as well as in Developing people, i.e. ability to inspire individuals and teams to accomplish organisational goals; motivate people to perform and grow by providing feedback, coaching, training and career direction. Finally, you have Business acumen, i.e. strong ability to recognize external trends and translate them into business opportunities and are Change oriented, i.e. able to handle a constantly changing environment with many different stakeholders and demands.

  • To lead in moving the business forward and developing our diverse teams in accordance with our overall purpose, IKEA Retail direction and the Ingka Group financial strategy.
    To promote simplicity and entrepreneurship across the organisation while securing compliance and safeguarding our financial strengths, our people and our businesses.
    To be a proactive business partner in strategic as well as operational development, closely connected to the business and contributing to improved customer experience.
    To support growth, cost reduction, sustainable profitability while contributing to improved customer experience. Secure that investments deliver value in reality.
    You will:
    • expertise in order to secure the overall performance of the country
    • actively engage with, and share the responsibility in, the delivery of the INGKA sustainability strategy to enable the ongoing transformation and growth of the IKEA business
    • secure growth, low cost and sustainable profitability in accordance with our overall purpose, retail direction and our financial strategy
    • ensure high quality execution of all People processes securing performing, competent and engaged co-workers
    • embrace the digital transformation in the market and be a digital ambassador in the function
    • secure interdependence and cooperation with all relevant functions and stakeholders, to secure integration and common focus
    • represent the Retail country as a spokesperson and external representative for all Ingka entities within the designated area of responsibility
    • optimise profitable growth, low cost, and the value of Ingka assets in accordance with our overall purpose, IKEA Retail direction and the Ingka Group financial strategy
    • lead the IKEA Retail Business Plan process together with the country management team while securing alignment with the Country Penetration Plan. Lead the financial business plan process under the frame of the Ingka Group Financial strategy
    • secure the support for a seamless and consistent customer journey in all contacts, by stimulating continuous improvement in ways of working
    • lead the constant search for improvement in operating our companies by being the ambassador of cost consciousness, harvesting efficiency potentials, and taking advantage of the value chain
    • lead with business opportunities in the forefront and secure that we invest to meet the needs of our customers. Evaluate and prioritize investments supporting both growth and cost reduction that deliver value in reality, balancing returns and risks
    • create a risk aware organisation and mindset, empowering people & business to grasp the many opportunities and to take responsible risks everyday while safeguarding & strengthening our people and Ingka businesses
    • secure reliable and timely financial, management and tax reporting, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and accounting standards
    • secure compliance throughout our business and rules and lead the development of a broad and proactive risk management approach that supports the country strategic direction and safeguard co-workers, visitors and assets
    • ensure that country operations are compliant with Ingka Group Code of Conduct and other Ingka Group Steering Documents. Secure compliance with the local legislation and secure the statutory and fiduciary obligations of the boards
    • build and maintain trustful business relationships with external stakeholders (authorities, auditors, advisors, Inter IKEA Group)
