Key Responsibilities:

Compounding flavors

• Always following correct compounding procedures
• Mark materials when weighed
• Use a ruler to ensure accurate target weight
• Record actual weight of each pour
• Ensure highest possible accuracy with no more than 3% error allowable
• Prepare compounded flavors for evaluation, including preparation and running of difference testing if project requires.
• Coordinate with QC to obtain specifications of all experimental recipes within 24 hours of completion of evaluation.
• Maintain reference library of compounded flavors and experiments.

Maintenance of raw materials

• Storage of all materials according to storage Guidelines
• Ensure Raw Material collection is regularly replenished to ensure no expired stock.
• Ensure inventory is regularly updated to contain all new Creative Catalogue Materials and PoE materials.
• Development and maintenance of Raw Material Database including storage location, expiry date etc. Work with Administrative Assistant to ensure this database can help maintain raw material collection with no expired stock.

Housekeeping

• Ensure that work space is always kept clean and tidy
• Ensure that raw materials are promptly returned to correct location when not using so others can easily locate as required.
• Ensure correct disposal of expired raw materials and damaged laboratory equipment such as glassware.
• Ensure safety of work environment and always wear appropriate PPE (safety shoes, lab coat, glasses), and any damaged equipment is quickly repaired or replaced

Assist Senior flavorist

• Flavor Library coordination works.
• To study together with senior flavorist to investigate new flavoring materials including evaluation, prototype preparation etc.
• Preparation of commercial prototypes if required.
• Coordination works with other functional teams including marketing, SCI, QC and sales etc if required.
