Position: Lab Testing Engineer

Job Objective

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you are the key contact to handle the internal testing programs as testing matrix. You will take responsibility for the maintenance of testing records and failure analysis with suppliers. You are required to have effective communication with 3rd party lab, PD, Sourcing and other operation teams on product compliance testing issues.

Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct daily RoHS, REACH (Cadmium, Lead) inhouse lab testing activities so as to ensure products comply with regulations and specifications set forth by target marketing authorities and international standard organizations, such as: EU/USA.

2. Responsible for the inhouse lab testing equipment maintenance and calibration, development of testing working instruction, collating of testing data and compiling the testing reports.

3. Analyze and interpret the testing results, determine root cause of failures and non-conformities, instruct suppliers to take corrective actions and drive continuous improvements, reduce the testing failure rate.

4. Coordinate sample submissions for lab testing and Approved Sample selection.

5. Review new products and prepare quality plans with regards to vendor selection, design review, pre-production pilot evaluations, if required.

6. Work with Merchandisers and vendors on new developments to conduct evaluations and testing needed to confirm full compliance to all applicable mandatory standards and customer-specified requirements.

7. Keep the regulations, directives and testing standards up to date.

8. Record and keep track of all testing status.

9. Maintain filing system for all product test reports / certificates.
