As a Lab Testing Engineer you will be responsible for testing and assessment service of ABB LV products to internal customers in a way that satisfies and exceeds customer expectations of the service, in Electrification Business Area in Jiangmen, China.

Reporting to the Testing & Laboratory Manager, you will coach, direct and supervise the testing team to ensure an effective, efficient and stable working, under safety conditions

Your responsibilities

• Providing testing and assessment services according to product standards
• Supervising and training the testers, trainees and to make sure their competence and test quality Evaluating test data, issue, and check test reports
• Participating in test equipment failure analysis and maintenance
• Participating in product test failure analysis, improving proposal and advice
• Studying and sharing new regulations/standards/updated knowledge development of technical and general knowledge by actively participating and contributing in trainings, discussions, and meetings
• Studying updated product standards and preparing new test methods
• Preparing or designing testing fixtures or jigs for efficiency improvement
• Performing other related duties as assigned or indicated by superiors

Your background

• 3 year of experience in testing in relevant field
• Sound knowledge and understanding of analog circuit or digital circuit, etc
• Knowledge and understanding of the application of electronic and electrical components
• Fair understanding of testing activities and test equipment, work processing skills, like MS office, etc
• B.S in mechanical, electronic or electrical Engineering
• Good oral and written skills in English and Chinese
• Good team player, responsible and reliable with problem-solving and communication skills
