YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently conduct scientific projects in the field of lead discovery
• Design and establish novel and innovative cell biological assays and assay readouts for usage in high throughput screening (HTS)
  approaches
• Drive continuous improvement in methodology, scientific processes and existing assay platforms
• Analyze and interpret results with the focus on identification of novel lead compounds or novel disease relevant targets/cellular pathways
  and mechanisms
• Present results to line management and research project teams
• Ensure excellent overview of scientific literature and actively expand the scientific network with relevant academic groups in the field

WHO YOU ARE

• PhD in cell biology or related fields
• Strong scientific background in cell biology and molecular biology with sound in vitro pharmacology knowledge
• Proven experience in microscopic or high content imaging techniques as well as in handling and analyzing complex data files  (e.g. image
  analysis, NGS, transcriptomics) is beneficial
• Curiosity and passion for research and experimentation
• Ability and willingness to develop and adopt relevant emerging technologies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Competence to productively work in interdisciplinary and international teams
• Excellent English skills, both written and spoken; basic knowledge of German
