YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive the development of Pharma R&D's process chemistry analytics platform introducing state-of-the-art analytical technologies and innovative automation and digitalization concepts
• Be responsible for the HPLC platform within Chemical Development and ensure high and uniform standards across all process chemistry labs
• Lead a lab team of 5-7 technicians including bachelor and/or master level providing accurate and fast non-GMP analytics to process chemistry labs
• Design, conduct and interpret experiments and present results in R&D committees and support decision making on project portfolio and process development
• Support the development of stable chemical processes for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients with regards to quality, efficiency and process safety
• Be partner (m/f/d) and advisor (m/f/d) to colleagues from process chemistry labs and manage key interface to analytical development unit including method transfers
• Drive scientific and strategic collaboration with partnering functions within Pharma R&D and beyond

WHO YOU ARE

• University degree and PhD in natural science, specifically in analytical chemistry
• International PostDoc working experience at a recognized research institution and preferably industrial experience in analytics
• Expert knowledge and experience in analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, LC-MS, IC, XRF etc.
• Passion for IT solutions and digitalization as well as curiosity and willingness to develop towards new fields of expertise
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve outstanding results
• Excellent project management and communication skills as well as ability to work effectively within a matrix organization
• Creative problem solving skills whilst being results-oriented, combined with excellent analytical skills and a conceptual and innovative way of thinking
• Fluent in English and German, both verbal and written
