YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Molecular cloning, expression, purification of target proteins for structure determination
• Analyze protein ligand interaction by using a variety of biophysical techniques to validate and characterize binding
• Collect data at synchrotron and internal x-ray sources as well as data processing, structure solution and refinement
• Plan experiments and evaluate, interpret, present and publish scientific results
• Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams from structural biology, protein technologies, high throughput screening and medicinal / computational chemistry within and outside the organization
• Keep the awareness of scientific developments in the field

WHO YOU ARE

• PhD in biology, chemistry, biochemistry/biophysics or related subject
• Proven expertise and track record in production and x-ray structural analysis of proteins
• Practical experience of biophysical methods (especially TSA, SPR) and corresponding data interpretation is desirable
• Ability to work and communicate within interdisciplinary teams
• High level of motivation, commitment and sense of responsibility
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Passion for research
• Excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written, basic knowledge of German is an advantage
