Location: Chalfont Saint Peter, UK - Hybrid (2 Days office - 3 days Remote)

About the Role:

As a member of the IP Services Language Technology team, you will be part of a busy, efficiency-focused team overseeing the use of language technology in the translation process. The team deploys a variety of optimally-adapted processes designed to fit seamlessly into workflows, serving the diverse needs of a global blue-chip client base.

Responsibilities:

• Support and advice to project managers, translators and production staff on all aspects of language technology;
• Identifying similarity between received orders, and advising on language technology best practice for processing;
• Assessment of language technology suitability for prospective clients;
• Preparation and provision of invoicing data;
• Comparing received orders against translation memories and archive databases;
• File preparation and project creation for both in-house and external translators;
• Using technology to ensure quality standards are met;
• Technical troubleshooting;
• Other related duties as appropriate.

Requirements:

• Experience of CAT tools (particularly SDL Trados Studio);
• Knowledge of regular expressions and MS Office macros;
• Knowledge of coding, particularly C# and VBA;
• Knowledge of one of more foreign languages.
