Job Description
Eaton’s Mission Systems Division is currently seeking a Lapper to join our 1st shift team. This position is based at our Davenport, IA facility. Starting pay rate is $24.23/hour (this role qualifies for pay step increases every 3 months until the max at $26.65/hour). Core Hours: 7AM-3:30PM Position Overview: The Lapper is responsible for set up and operating all types of lapping machines, or perform by hand, all lapping operations. The Lapper will work under close tolerances, and produce parts with very fine finishes for a variety of life support, air-to-air refueling, and personal survival equipment systems.. In this function you will: Set up and operate all types of lapping machines, or perform by hand all lapping operations, working under close tolerances, to produce parts with very fine finishes. Perform general upkeep and routine maintenance on equipment. Obtain job information from blueprints, analysis sheets, sketches, written instructions, and check produced parts against job specifications. Use all tools, fixtures and gauges necessary for completion of tasks. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution is required Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 70 miles of Davenport, IA to be considered.
