
Laundry Attendant
Provide a consistent customer and staff satisfaction by providing neat and clean laundry service in accordance with the standard of MH&R . all jobs should be carried out in an efficient , prompt , courteous trouble free and proactive way and in line with departmental guidelines and MH&R service concepts and core values .
Metrics
Key responsibilities
- Maintains work-effective communication within the laundry and housekeeping department
- Handles hotels and guest property carefully and honestly
- Prepares and finishes all hotel linen in accordance with departmental standards.
- Ensures that all terry items are folded in the prescribed manner.
- To provide consistently excellent standard of service in marking, sorting, and packing of guest and staff laundry.
- To check the number of pieces on the list given, the room or invoice number when is out side laundry.
- Check the marking machine and ribbon.
- Start to mark cloths, make sure to mark one bag first, before opening the second one.
- Mark every item from the bag with the same number.
- Shirt should be marked in the collar, underwear inside the waist band.
- Report to the laundry supervisor for any finding or missing pieces, spoiled garments that he noticed it before or after cleaning.
- Reports unusual circumstances to housekeeping manager.
- Reports maintenance requests and replacement orders.
- Assists guests and other departments when required
- Attends to guests needs and requests courteously and efficiently.
Staff management
- Comply with htoel rules and regulations and provisions contained in the employment hand book
- Complay with company grooming standard
- Complay with time and attendance policies
- Actively participate in training and development programs and maximise opprtunities for self development
Customer service
- Demonstrate service attribute in accordance with industry expectations and company standards includes:
. being attetive to guests
. accurately and promptely fulfilling guests requests
. anticipate guests needs
. maintain a high level of knowledge which affects the guess experience
. demonstrating a service atitude
. taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
- Appreciate the dynamic nature of the hotle industry and exgended these service atributes to all internal custermers
Health , safety and security
- Familiarise yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures
- Ensure all security incidents , accidents , and near misses are qlways logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the Line Manager
General
- Complay with the companys corparate code of conduct
- Familiarise yourself with the company values and model desired behaiours
