How will you make an impact?

Perform revenue recognition procedures, forecasting and project systems management. Execute billing of contract milestones and sales shipments. Provide financial analysis to support reporting and future billing. Assist management in understanding and utilizing the above information.

What will you do?

  • Process invoices with high accuracy in set timeframe for customers.

  • Collaborate with project management on forecasting, revenue recognition and other billing activities.
  • Work with Finance, Project Management, and Cognizant to resolve customer invoice questions.
  • Perform the activities to ensure that service revenue will be recognized timely.
  • Develop process enhancements, focusing on automation and standard work.
  • Initiate communication and coordinate with other departments to improve the quality of financial information at ThermoFisher Scientific.
  • Maintain written procedures relevant to major activities and cross train on other dept roles.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business required, preferably in Finance or Accounting

Experience

  • 1 year of relevant business experience, particular in an accounting or finance function, preferred.
  • Experience in Windows based software required, especially Excel experience at the intermediate level at a minimum.
  • Experience with enterprise software systems (SAP R/3) preferred.
  • Experience with project management highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong customer focus is required
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Adaptable and capable of working within a team as well as independently
