Job Description

Physical Logistics manages the physical movement of parts onsite at Plant Oxford and between the Plant and offsite warehouse space via the provision of Logistics Service Providers. The LSPs are responsible for the receipt, storage, sequencing and the line side supply of material from the warehouse facilities to the assembly fit point. Over 10,000 load units per day inbound and outbound and 170,000 material picks per day, means operating in a fast pace environment!
 

WHAT AWAITS YOU?

  • As the Account and Contracts Lead, you will be responsible for the functional leadership of the contract steering team for all Logistics Service Providers
  • Responsible for ensuring all aspects of financial control, planning and reporting are in place for logistics, steering an efficient management of cost with the logistics service providers and cost centre owners
  • Managing rolling bottom up forecasting through preparation in cooperation with Finance functions and submission and reporting of official forecast with transparency of changes, measures opportunities and risks to senior managers
  • Responsibility to monitor changes and lead the annual budget setting process for the Logistics function, by inputting holistic and transparent budget development as well as monitor measurement tracking to identify deviations from forecasts
  • You will manage the service provider KPI’s and be the interface to Plant Partner Management , steering deviation management

  • Educated to degree level in maths or finance accounting
  • Commercial experience advantageous  
  • Strong understanding of logistics  processes is preferred, support will be given to develop your knowledge
  • Knowledge of target management and performance steering desirable
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to lead a small team
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communicator
