Business Analyst

Location:  Wilmington, MA

 

The Instrumentation BU is hiring a Business Analyst with hands on skills and knowledge of data analytics and tools to meet our business needs. You will be responsible for transforming the business analytics of the group through identification, mining, and extraction of data;  creating presentations and proposals based on that data;  interacting with staff both within the BU and company and generally proposing optimized solutions to short and long term business constraints. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage data analysis for the group and serve as subject matter expert on data management and analysis
  • Collaborate with marketing managers to build business models for forward-looking business
  • Use knowledge of data integrity and data analytical techniques to process data sets, find trends/insights, assist in drawing logical conclusions and produce metric reporting
  • Learn and understand company logistics to guide and optimize decision making
  • Identify and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery
  • Work with personnel from relevant departments to retrieve required data to develop and maintain dashboards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Analytics, Operational Research, Industrial Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
  • 5 years of relevant experience in data analytics
  • Strong experience with programming language and database queries
  • Familiar with data visualization using tools such as Tableau, QlikView and/or Power BI
  • Strong technical communication skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and summarize business goals into metrics and dashboards
