Eaton’s Electrical Sector is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst at our Eaton Center location in Beachwood, OH. This role can also be remote with travel as needed to an Eaton location. The primary function of this role is to ensure accurate and timely analysis along with accompanying insight and recommendations to influence business and functional decisions across the Electrical Sector. The lead financial analyst supports monthly forecasting, month-end and year-end close processes, quarterly earnings release preparation, and annual profit planning processes. The role will be responsible for ensuring reporting continuity across the sector and will interact with various levels of finance and business functions. In this role you will: Analyze and report monthly business performance, with a strong emphasis on providing insights from analysis of business and economic/market trends Support the annual Profit Planning process including consolidation of all business plans, completion of required schedules/templates, and development of review packages for CEO/CFO Support strategic and operations planning, including reporting and analysis to help set and achieve long term profit and growth targets Partner with the business finance teams to analyze, communicate, and take action on key operating issues Perform analytics and derive insight from key front-end (e.g., revenue & backlog) and operational metrics Propose and develop business justifications and processes for significant capital, R&D, and other investments Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive policy and process improvements Drive competitive analytics to benchmark performance against peers in our industry, and communicate the results to Eaton Senior Leadership to support external presentations and strategic planning Build proactive reporting tools and analysis, e.g. FX analysis and modeling Support development of presentations for the Board of Directors and senior leadership meetings Support Finance training and development initiatives Participate in and lead global projects of strategic significance to the Electrical Sector, utilizing direct and indirect resources as required to ensure success Act as a liaison between Corporate Finance/Accounting and the Sector businesses When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in accounting and/or finance Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future Relocation benefit is being offered for this position and/or the role can be remote with travel to Eaton Center as needed Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics and/or Finance Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Previous experience within a manufacturing organization Position Criteria Collaborative orientation.
