Job Description
Main goal Responsible for moderately complex financial analyses and reports for department management. Prepares and analyzes major financial forecasts. May be assigned analyses in support of organizations’ annual budget process, expense/service fee/staffing forecasts, or statistical reporting. The position is responsible for providing direct support to the Plant Controller. This requires accomplishing a variety of accounting and management levels tasks and responsibilities for one multifunctional manufacturing plant Job Responsibilities Perform month end processes including timely preparation completion and submission of local closing packages and commentaries. Build and maintain a monthly financial reporting package including finance metrics trends and performance to be presented to local Management teams. Coordination with department leaders for monthly tracking of expense levels, coordination development and completion of periodic forecasts and annual profit planning. Analysis and involvement in accurate development of labor and burden rates and participation in annual cost roll for the facility. Preparation and presentation of Financial Information to external users and audit teams Preparation and presentation of special costing analysis for potential new product introductions and profitability analysis, financial leader in VAVE cost-out activities and initiatives. Participation and support of facility lean initiatives as well as a strong focus on process improvement within the Finance role. Prepare and coordinate the load of information in the business systems. Lead automation & streamlining of existing financial reporting and budget procedures with the goal of implementing best practices. Develop and presentation of information for mergers, acquisitions, production line transfers or any other type of business decision when applicable. Coordination of yearly Inventory Physical Count and monthly cycle count programs participate and coordinate in Capital Investment analysis including support of fixed asset inventories performed periodically. Cost accounting activities, PPV analysis and inventory transactions reviews and calculation of reserves. EHS Responsibilities: Separate hazardous waste from the common waste. Place hazardous waste (gloves, rags, etc.) in assigned containers. Keep clean the work área contaminant free. Do not waste water. Report any activity that may jeopardize my safety and the environment. Identify and properly dispose all the chemicals that may contaminate the environment. Ensure the correct container for the disposal of hazardous waste (identified containers and containers to prevent spills). Report the entry of new Chemicals required for Maintenance purposes due to mantain a record updated and assure the compliance of the correct handling of them. Contain oil spills and repair as necessary. #LI-MG1 Qualifications Preferred education level: Accounting Bachelor’s degree Years and area of experience required 4 year experience in similar position. Technical knowledge: Understanding of accounting processes, procedures and internal controls. Mexican and US GAAP general knowledge. Cost accounting knowledge. SAP ERP system experience, ENCORE preferable.
