Eaton Corporation is currently seeking a Lead Analyst, GTM to join our team. This position can be based at any Eaton US facility or approved US based remote/home office. Position Overview: Our supply chain management team creates bottom-line impact by driving cost management and operational benefits. Within our supply chain, Eaton has an opening for a Lead Analyst within its Global Trade Management (“GTM”) group. The primary function of this position is to provide expertise on export activities associated with meeting business objectives. The position of Lead Analyst is primary responsible for day to day processing of export activity, maintaining various Trade reporting systems and related classification, trade authorizations, and recordkeeping mandated by the respective government agencies as appropriate to assigned business location(s). In this role you will: Develop and deploy throughout the U.S. all applicable export compliance processes and procedures in conjunction with various other functions within Eaton and external resources. Evaluate Eaton U.S. export compliance status with various regulatory bodies including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms (ITAR); Export Administration Regulations (EAR); Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR); Customs and Border Protection (CBP); and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Undertake and independently investigate possible violations of international trade compliance regulations or policies or procedures; coordinate with the Legal department on communications with government requests for information, including assisting with government export audits and/or filing disclosures and drive required corrective actions/OFI’s. Support Eaton U.S. export compliance program: annual export site assessments/audits, review foreign national employment, review site visitor requests, develop and management Technology Control Plans, export recordkeeping, manage license process, provides export control guidance and monitors export shipments to ensure no gaps in coverage due to expirations or changes in US export regulations. Develop and deploy robust export control training to all levels within the company. Develop and execute strategic investigative plan to tight deadlines, involve multiple stakeholders, and collect and analyze various records and potentially compiling large volume sets of export reports/metrics; communicate trade compliance related policy, procedures, and economic issues that affect Eaton U.S. operations. Engage with senior leaders on strategies and initiatives that affect GTM and where trade matters may impact strategy. Provide regular reports to Corporate GTM and senior leaders on the status of Eaton’s GTM export program in the U.S., current initiatives, and outstanding GTM matters. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum of five (5) years’ experience of direct multi-national import and/or export compliance experience within a corporate environment Minimum of one (1) years’ experience working in either the aerospace, defense, or automotive industries Must be legally eligible to work in the United States on an on-going basis without Company sponsorship Preferred Qualifications Minimum of two years’ experience in drafting/submitting ITAR and EAR export authorizations and interpreting and providing guidance in ITAR/EAR regulations associated with controlled US commodities, technologies and services Minimum of two years’ experience as an Empowered Official Minimum of three years’ experience in Project Management, Lean Management or Six Sigma. Familiar with U.S. government systems: ACE, DECCS, a plus Experience in drafting formal correspondence with government agencies. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written word to all levels within the company for management, including VP-GM and President level, functional staffs, line level employees and government officials. Strong analytical, negotiation, and influencing capabilities. Ability to think critically and strong problem-solving and project/program management skills.
