Job Description
Responsibilities:
- A lead game animator, you should quickly understand the requirements and workflow of a project.
- Should be able to work independently.
- Analyze workload and break down into tasks for the animation team.
- Liaise with art or animation director to understand project direction and requirements.
- Balance hands on work with team management and supporting the animation team.
- Provide their own suggestions to AD and Leader on various project requirements.
- Learn and use new tools and methods in projects.
- Work should be consistently of a high quality.
- Self critical of their own work ensuring reduced feedback.
- Able to understand feedbacks from leaders and clients.
- Inquisitive and able to the team members.
- Research new techniques or software to advance the animation department.
Qualifications:
- At least 4 years’ experience in Animation with a minimum of 2 years in game animation as a senior.
- A recognized degree from Animation or related education, with a solid and systematic knowledge in animation principles.
- Comprehensive skills in game animation development, 3D model rigging and skinning both simple and complex models.
- Solid understanding in humanoid and creature movement and behavior, in various styles such as realistic and cartoon.
- Solid technical skills in 3DMax,Maya and MotionBuilder.
- Experience animating humanoids and creatures of different shapes and sizes.
- A strong understanding of animation concepts used such as demonstrating strong poses, timing and weight.
- Experience in creating animation cycles, poses, and combat animations
- Experience with both keyframe and motion capture clean up.
- Good time management skills ensuring work is completed with expected quality and in a timely manner.
- Communication skills and English is a plus.
- Face rigging experience.
- Passion for animation, film and games.
- Should have shipped multiple games as a lead or senior animator.
