Eaton’s Industrial Control Division is currently seeking a Lead Application Engineer, Automation & Controls to join our team. This position is based at our Menomonee Falls, WI location and offers a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office/2 days remote). Relocation provided! Position Overview: Our Lead Application Engineer is a member of the automation and sensors product line team whose primary responsibility is to be the technical and application subject matter expert for industrial automation products and presence sensors. This includes providing customer technical/application/product support. The role also will also be responsible for helping to develop and lead training on automation products across the division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved with front-end innovative solutions to help grow and develop assigned product lines. In this function you will: Support development of Automation and Sensors strategy and requirements for new products and features. Coordinate, develop, and publish application specific solutions for assigned product lines such as white papers, application notes, etc. Coordinate, develop and support key product line projects such as customer conversions. Coordinate and develop support materials required to implement domestic and international product launches Provide technical support for Automation and Sensors products which involves fielding complex application questions from customers. Analyze key competitors to identify strengths, weakness and opportunities related to products, service level and strategies to support product strategy and roadmaps. Create and provide technical sales and training presentations to customers and stakeholders. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Three (3) years’ experience in electrical sales, engineering or applications Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Experience with PLCs and HMIs, and their programming software Knowledge of motor control products including contactors, starters, overload relays, and motor control centers. Knowledge of presence and process sensors and their markets, customers, and applications Knowledge of industrial control markets, customers, and applications. Working knowledge of IoT protocols such as MQTT, OPC UA, HTTP, etc. Position Criteria: Ability to communicate effectively at multiple organizational levels. Strong technical aptitude and ability to spot high-level market trends Ability to facilitate customer meetings and delivering presentations.
