AstraZeneca IT Software Shared Services (SSS) organization presents an exciting opportunity to be a part of establishing the advanced analytics and automation capabilities and contributing towards AZ 2025 Growth through Innovation strategy. In this role, you will be working closely with Customer Facing IT (CFIT) organization to solve real-world business problems by establishing the Advanced Analytics & Automation capability and delivering business value through solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong focus on identifying business problems, exploring opportunities to innovate, developing proof of concepts and scaling the prototype into solution delivery
• Develop Advanced Analytics and Automation technical strategy and define roadmap aligned with business outcomes
• Provide technical leadership in Advanced Analytics and Automation with a strong understanding of internal technology maturity and external/ industry trends
• Establish working relationships within IT and business stakeholders and supplier relationships
• Hands-on approach towards problem solving and ownership in delivering initiatives
• Coach and guide the team on best practices, methodologies, tools and operating model

Qualifications

• Experience of a range of Data & analytics architectures: traditional warehousing, distributed computing (Hadoop), NoSQL, virtualization, semantic web, data streaming, etc
• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
• Big Data/Data Science experience
• Process Automation experience

Essential skills and experiences:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Data science algorithms e.g. Linear Regression, Random Forest, Neural Nets, K-Means Clustering, etc.
• Data science tools e.g. Python, R, etc.
• Big Data technologies e.g. Hive, Impala, etc.
• Cloud computing and services (AWS / AZURE / GCP)
• Data analysis and preparation e.g. profiling, investigating, interpreting, cleaning and documenting data structure
• Exposure to Data modelling, Data visualization
• Automation technologies e.g. Automation Anywhere
• Lean & Agile methodologies e.g. SAFe, SCRUM, etc.
