Job Description

Electronic Arts Inc. is a leading global interactive entertainment software company. EA delivers games, content and online services for Internet-connected consoles, personal computers, mobile phones and tablets.

Artist II assists in the creation of game artwork by providing production support to the Art team. Typical tasks for Artist II include developing artwork for Concept Design, In-Game UI, Environment & Characters Art, various icons and virtual live content (digital illustrations) and Art production related to all website designs. Artist II must have a broad stylistic range and be able to adapt to various game esthetics. Pogo.com’s games incorporate both HTML5 game development and Live Content updates; ideal candidates have experience working in both dimensions. Excellent 2D illustration skills are a must. The right person for this position has a great imagination, outstanding drawing and painting skills, technical savvy, a good work ethic and a great sense of humor. English Communication skills are a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce high production quality art work for product development
  • Meet production schedule with on-time delivery and quality
  • Graphic design that will work well both artistically and technically
  • Provide feedback toward EA products
  • Oversee feedback delivered from multiple disciplines and distribute to Art team
  • Under the art direction of the Art Director or Senior Artists
    • Perform art production with established process
    • Develop concept sketches for game layouts, in-game characters and animations
    • Produce final artwork for games

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years’ experience in professional game or Visual design development
  • Expert drawing and painting skills or Strong graphic design and typography skills
  • Expert understanding of Photoshop and Illustrator and Strong fundamental art skills
  • Ability to follow specific requirements and guidelines set forth by Managers and Lead Artists
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and managers
  • Team player with strong grasp of customer service, positive attitude, passion for games and proactive personality
  • May require travel as needed
