Eaton’s Power Quality Division (MCO) is currently seeking a Lead Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Raleigh, NC facility or remotely from a home office. Position Overview: We’re hiring a Lead Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Power Quality Division’s (MCO) Business Intelligence and Analytics team and execute the roadmap enabling strategic use of data at Eaton. You’ll join a team with the mission of empowering decision-making across the organization with self-service data, working closely with other technical and business stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to drive work on large analytics investments and build data products which enable data driven decisions at Power Quality Eaton. A successful candidate will combine their technical skills, a passion for creative problem solving to build great data products, and an intense curiosity. As a Lead Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining highly available self-service data platforms. You will be part of a community of technical data analysts, with an opportunity to work on impactful projects ranging from developing critical data pipelines that help run the business to building tools to analyze Eaton’s operational data which guides business leadership on optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of our project management and customer support teams. You will consult with business stakeholders to understand how they inform decisions for their teams and lead the development of solutions to fulfill analytical, reporting and operational data needs across these teams. In this function you will: Own a suite of internally facing data products, end-to-end, from ideation to launch Build meaningful and unified data products, to serve as the basis for all analysis performed by business Contribute to strategic initiatives focused on how to best leverage data captured through operational processes and customer interactions to solve our most urgent business problems Streamline performance and processes in our data pipeline and dashboard development process Take an active role in designing the future of our data pipeline and self-service data platforms Collaborate with data engineering team to drive improvements in data pipeline and data warehousing components that are simple, reliant, and performant Streamline processes and create efficiencies in the way the various departments and team members in the division use applications, technology, and practices to collect, analyze, and present data across business functions; including operations, finance, pricing, and support. Proactively seek opportunities to improve data quality Prepare ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed. Format data to identify needs, provide relevant insights, predictive analytics and make recommendations. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Minimum of 3 years of experience in relational databases and data warehouses, BI platforms, reporting tools (Power BI preferred), data engineering Minimum of 5 years of business analysis experience collaborating with and providing solutions to different business functions (operations, supply chain, finance, sales, or marketing) Preferred qualifications: Master's Degree Intermediate knowledge of SQL (Python and R is a plus) Expert level proficiency in a BI tool. Power BI preferred. Ability to demonstrate proficiency with SAP or an equivalent ERP; and, ability to quickly learn new ERP systems and other IT solutions, software, and platforms Position Criteria: Willingness to learn and work outside of their comfort zone Self Starter with proactive mindset Has an analytical mindset and thinks creatively to solve complex problems Desire & ability to look at the bigger picture and translate data into a strategy Ability to lead and present in customer, executive level, and employee meetings using excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills Capacity to act as an agent of change, driving, and enabling process changes to continuously raise performance standards and drive improvement Ability to pivot between tasks and projects quickly based on prioritization and needs Highly motivated to work with the Business Analytics team to drive to solve complex problems Excellent written and verbal communication skills, willing to proactively engage other team members in fostering a strong collaborative team-oriented environment Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices.
