Role Summary:
Defines and deploys the sourcing strategy for a given supply market and/or commodity (ies) by
means of following competencies. Develop strategic supplier base in Taiwan for GE Power project requirements in Taiwan

Is responsible to negotiate and release purchase orders at the right time and right quality within the specified targets / budgets. This position is responsible to settle claims with conditions favorable to GE

Essential Responsibilities:
Purchasing
Bears commercial responsibility for the purchasing activities in close cooperation with the SSM, Engineering representative, PPM, Supplier Quality, Supplier Expediting, field service representative or other responsible parties

• Ensure implementation of collects information from engineering, PPM regarding project-related, commercial and legal specifications in the RFQ and POs to suppliers
• Ensures on time delivery of RFQ’s, to suppliers identified in EPP, performs total cost analysis of the offers received and organizes / participates in technical – commercial discussions with the supplier
• Conducts negotiations involving SSM, engineering representative, supplier quality / expediting PPM (if stipulations of procurement concept are violated)
• Monitors return of order acknowledgement
• Adheres strictly to the GE corporate instructions (e.g. code of ethics, internal trade rules)
• Supports expediting, quality and engineering for organizing deliverables, which are late from supplier
• Secures key information for PPM such as – time scheduling, costing and quality status or any other information relevant for the project
• Performs supplier performance rating of active suppliers for his/her area
• Claim management from suppliers with close co-ordination with SSM, expediting, engineering, quality and project management
• Support SSM in conducting and negotiating Supply Agreements
• Support SSM in establishing Commodity strategy and Target panel suppliers for his/her respective area of responsibility and is securing its implementation in projects in execution
• Participates in supplier approval/supplier qualification process in agreement with SSM
• Approves / releases invoices for payment in cooperation with project and engineering representatives

Sourcing Role

• Develop strategic supplier base in Taiwan for GE Power project requirements in Taiwan
• Facilitates the needs of the business for Taiwan and integrates them to define the supplier strategy after having lead the appropriate market research
• Initiates and supervises the supplier qualification process and involves the other parties (quality, engineering, project purchasing, logistics etc.), according to the active supplier qualification procedure,
• Define the Development plan of local Key Suppliers to be implemented with the support of the Local Supplier Managers,
• Is responsible for implementing the agreed commodity strategy. As such he/she is responsible for initiating, conducting, monitoring supplier development actions, redesign to cost actions,

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant professional experience in power industry
• University degree in purchasing /supply management/ technical education
• Fluent in English Language & Mandarin
• IT user knowledge in SAP, Word, Excel
