Job Summary

Function/Team – Configuration & Asset Management reside in the Infrastructure organization in AZ IT under End User Services.

The team is responsible for the following areas of IT:

  • Configuration & IT Asset Management
    • Global accountability for the governance of Configuration (CMDB) and IT Assets
    • Driving accuracy and maintenance of data, process and risk
    • Owning the strategic roadmap for AstraZeneca Configuration & IT Asset Management with stakeholder and senior leadership groups
    • Ensuring a high compliance, high value return and low risk posture environment at all times
    • Maintaining the CMDB and Asset data, models and processes with business and technical stakeholder groups
    • Delivery of Config & IT Asset Management knowledge into major programs and projects
    • Responsibility for the technical implementation of the Configuration and IT Asset Management modules within ServiceNow, including ownership of Demand and Change Management.
    • Continuous improvement to all our processes and procedures and seek opportunities for synergies and collaboration with other teams in End User Services
    • Establishing and driving outcomes that are measurable, sustainable, and aligned to industry best practices
    • Responsible for optimizing asset user experience and customer satisfaction

The Configuration & Asset Service Manager will cover one or more of the above areas and will be responsible for:

  • Stakeholder Management of business stakeholders and Senior Leadership within AstraZeneca
  • Developing, aligning and delivering MI for Configuration & Asset Management
  • Exceeding all functional and ITSM KPI and reporting thereof
  • Working with Configuration & Asset Managers to develop and maintain Configuration & Asset Roadmaps
  • Ownership of Configuration and Hardware Asset ServiceNow modules as Product Owner
  • Ensuring ServiceNow Demands are managed throughout their lifecycle
  • Focal point for IT Asset Management for the Asia Pacific region

Job Description

Candidate Focus & Challenge:

Service Management

  • An experienced Service Management professional with a demonstrated knowledge working in a large, global enterprise organization
  • Experience with ITIL methodologies; ITIL v3 certification preferred, with experience in a large enterprise ITIL environment across the ITIL Lifecycle
  • Provide a single point of contact for the Configuration and Asset Service, with demonstrated experience of managing technical services across business and senior management stakeholders
  • Provide CSIP via LEAN or other methodology to continually exceed KPIs and improve the service offering
  • Candidate should be flexible and adaptable with the ability to work on multiple assignments and must be customer-facing; an ability to prioritize and manage work, adhering to critical and aggressive timelines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills; self-driven, detail oriented, and determined

Stakeholder Management & MI

  • Ability to effectively and efficiently priorities competing demands and interests whilst maintaining high customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated experience of producing and presenting MI suitable for senior stakeholders
  • Ability to influence stakeholders to optimise the companies Configuration & IT Asset landscape
  • Ability to work in a globally diverse team, organization and cultures

Configuration Management

  • Working with the Configuration Manager, the ability to develop, drive and priorities the Configuration Roadmap and strategy
  • Lead Configuration Governance with key stakeholder groups advocating Configuration Management and capturing new demand
  • Capture and drive risk compliance for Configuration Management
  • Set and drive functional and ITSM KPI against Configuration Management targets
  • Produce day to day reporting and ensure a high-performance metric attainment at all times
  • Act as Product Owner for the ServiceNow Configuration Module ensuring all dependencies are owned throughout the lifecycle

IT Asset Management

  • Working with the IT Asset Managers, the ability to develop, drive and priorities the Asset Roadmap and strategy
  • With the support of the IT Asset Managers, act as a Governance focal point for Asia Pacific regions ensuring data and process compliance
  • Lead IT Asset Governance with key stakeholder groups advocating IT Asset Management and capturing new demand
  • Capture and drive risk compliance for IT Asset Management
  • Set and drive functional and ITSM KPI against IT Asset Management targets
  • Produce day to day reporting and ensure a high performance metric attainment at all times
  • Act as Product Owner for the ServiceNow Asset Module ensuring all dependencies are owned throughout the lifecycle

Candidate Knowledge, Skills & Experience 

Essential

  • Overall Senior understanding of all IT, from Service down to Service Components and networks
  • Senior Stakeholder management expertise
  • ITIL foundation certificate and Intermediate certs like Service Design, Service Transition & Service Operation
  • MI reporting and advanced MS Office
  • Lean certified

Desirable

  • ServiceNow experience
  • Configuration Management experience
  • Hardware Asset Management experience
  • Workplace by Facebook
