Eaton’s Commercial and Residential Distribution Solutions (CRDS) Division is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Project Engineer to join our team! This position can be based at our Peachtree City, GA or Moon Township, PA (Pittsburgh) facility or can be based remotely from a US home office. Relocation assistance will be offered to Peachtree City and Moon Township. Position Overview: The Cybersecurity Project Engineer is an exciting role and important new member who will be part of our global product development team and is responsible for defining cybersecurity requirements per project in collaboration with Eaton’s Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, leading and driving the cybersecurity compliance activities, and working across multiple projects in Eaton’s Connected Solutions team project portfolio. Typical project scope for this role covers cybersecurity activities from the device with embedded control systems, thru API communication to the cloud, to mobile applications, plus integrations with internal and external systems. In this function you will: Work directly with project teams and Eaton Electrical Sector Cybersecurity Center of Excellence to define cybersecurity requirements for projects in the CRDS Connected Solutions portfolio. Collaborate with Project Managers to build comprehensive cybersecurity action plans to achieve compliance at each phase of product development per project. Provide technical cybersecurity expertise to each team and across each compliance section from embedded control systems to APIs to mobile applications to the cloud. Includes bi-directional data flow and over-the-air updates within a typical IoT system. Coordinate and communicate cybersecurity requirements with NPI team and across other business functions to ensure timely decision making and projects success. Support threat modeling, penetration testing, cybersecurity assessments, scanning tools, security level allocation for systems/subsystems and process validations. Train, mentor and provide guidance concerning cybersecurity topics to the development team. Maintain ongoing integration of cybersecurity requirements to meet current and future industry standards and practices. Stay abreast of the latest industry trends plus Eaton cybersecurity requirements and organizes work plans for continuous compliance. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering from an accredited institution Minimum of 3 years' work experience in cybersecurity compliance and for product development in a typical Internet of Things ecosystem with digitally-enabled products and systems. Preferred Qualifications: CISSP or equivalent security certification or training Familiarity with the technical standards and industry & regulatory requirements (e.g.: UL2900, IEC 62443, NIST, NERC – CIP etc.) Experience securing a large infrastructure deployment on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Experience building sustainable processes Experience in the electrical energy industry with smart devices in an IoT ecosystem, or with similar critical infrastructure Position Criteria: Knowledge of product cybersecurity standards such as UL2900 Knowledge of processes for vulnerability assessment, threat modeling, penetration testing, incidence response, cybersecurity assessments, regulatory compliance and risk mitigation. Ability to manage cybersecurity aspects of multiple small thru large, complex projects Ability to influence and work with various technical leads in different functional parts of the business Ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities Ability to interface directly with mangers and other senior leaders within the business Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to explain technical concepts and present to Business Unit leaders Ability to foster collaboration across global development teams What you’ll get from us: We provide benefits that are industry competitive and focused on employee well-being.
