Data & Analytics Mercedes-Benz Cars (MBC) is an integrated organization for innovative, data-based control solutions in the Finance and Controlling area. Our focus is on developing analyses, forecasts, simulations and optimizations based on (big) data, advanced analytics and AI.
We are looking for team-oriented, creative, innovative and passionate people who can shape the department together with us. Together, our overarching goal is to generate added value for Mercedes-Benz Cars with intelligent analysis of internal and external data.
- The following tasks await you:
- Concept, implementation and responsibility for Data Management (e.g. Data Architecture, Data Quality, Data-Pipelines, Master Data Management & Data Lifecycle Management)
- Scaling and migration of existing Data Platforms from on-prem to on-prem / cloud hybrid-architecture
- Sustainability management and operations (e.g. solution lifecycle management, operations of applications and infrastructure, data storing)
- Concept and implementation of a Data Marketplace, where data is provided and made (re)usable in a safe and compliant way
- Integration of requirements of Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics (e.g. synergies between classical data warehousing and big data platforms)
- Continuous development & improvement of the general architecture for the data platforms in cooperation with IT-units, divisional finance functions and current projects
- Member of the Data & Analytics MBC Finance Leadership Team

- Qualifications:
- Degree in information science, business information systems, industrial Engineering, business mathematics or business studies
- Experts in architecture management and the implementation of technology
- Long-standing professional experience, ideally including some relating to Finance & Controlling and IT
- Knowledge of current Cloud providers, working in the Cloud, and technical requirements for Cloud vs. On Prem infrastructures
- Knowledge of distributed systems for storage and processing of large data sets, e.g. Apache Hadoop Ecosystem, Cloudera or cloud-native NoSQL-Databases like Snowflake or Microsoft Azure Cosmos
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture management, service-oriented architectures, and data and system integration
- Knowledge of Data Management processes and technologies, e.g. Immuta, Alation or Collibra Data Governance Center
- Extensive experience of agile working (ideally in the role of a product owner)
Knowledge of data integration processes and technologies, e.g. Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle Data Integrator or Trifacta Wrangler, preferred
- Knowledge of ERP data models and business intelligence applications, as well as financial processes and organizations within the Group, preferred
- Proficient in English
- Personal Skills:
- Good people skills
- Ability to evaluate issues with constructive criticism
- Highly solution-driven, combined with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of complex interrelationships
- Committed and team-based approach to work, flexibility
- Ability to prioritize and focus
