Further information is available at: www.siemens.com/mobility Tasks · You provide technical and organizational leadership to a team of experts responsible for electrical and IT integration of in-house and third-party components in the vehicle. · Your team’s work is based on requirements, which you clarify in discussions with internal and external customers. As Lead Designer Vehicle Control, you have the ultimate responsibility in your team. · Together with your team, you create specifications for the vehicle’s electrical subsystems or work on them with other Lead Designers. · You are also responsible for preparing the electrical parts of specifications for supplier parts. · Coordination meetings with internal and external customers, suppliers as well as with other Lead Designers are part of your daily routine. · You are responsible for cost, schedule and quality of your work area and report regularly to project management and line management. · Occasional trips to customers, suppliers and other Siemens locations are part of your job. Skills · You have several years of professional experience in the field of rolling stock engineering. · You are familiar with rolling stock components, especially a modern metro. You understand how they work and have experience in embedding and controlling these components through the vehicle control system. · You have knowledge of regulations and protective provisions for electrical equipment on rolling stock. · You have knowledge of control and communication systems for rolling stock. · You have knowledge of programming programmable logic controllers (PLCs). You are familiar with the software development process within the framework of the V-model according to the CENELEC standard EN 50128:2011 or EN 50657:2017. · You have experience in leading expert teams of up to 15 people. · You have excellent German and English language skills (C1).
