Eaton’s Power Distribution Controls Assembly Division is seeking a Lead Electrical Technician to join our team. This position is based at our Arden, NC facility. Position Overview: This position will have you utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Design Automation (DA) to Produce wiring diagrams involving new or existing standards and/or process. Additional this will involve working on more complex customer orders, interpreting and working from design specifications, oral instruction or sketched concepts. In this function you will: Using Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Design Automation (DA) to develop wiring diagrams. Anticipate manufacturing and/or customer requirement and problems and develop design solutions. Coordinate the drafting work and be responsible for all drawings pertinent to design of customer order project. Checks work to assure conformance with quality standards. Consult with engineers or higher classified personnel on problems relating to a design or customer order project.; Consult with other departments as required to obtain or provide information. Ensure dead lines and schedules are met. Communicates irregularities while working on an order. Must be able to work individually and on a team. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution required. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Arden, NC will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of electrical circuits, proper wire gauging, proper use of electrical symbols Drafting experience Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite Position Criteria: Knowledge of CAD and basic drafting principles Experience with problem solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve customer and manufacturing problems.
