Position Overview: Eaton’s Commercial & Residential Distribution Solutions division is currently seeking an Electronics Engineer to perform both analog and digital electronic circuit design, for products related to our Commercial and Residential Distribution Solutions Division. In this role, you will: Lead electronic hardware development for circuit protection devices; Lead the design of analog and digital circuits, including power supplies, signal conditioning, and microprocessor support circuits; Stay abreast of market trends and emerging technologies globally, with a particular emphasis on embedded and connected systems, and evaluate their potential impact on Eaton business; Research and develop business case(s) in new product development cycle to understand viability of proposed products in the marketplace; Drive enhancement of existing products and services based on evaluations of existing and new technologies per Eaton’s strategic plans; Represent Eaton’s interests on councils and committees tasked with developing codes and standards for emerging technologies in which Eaton is investing; Perform technical evaluations of electrical components and assess opportunities to develop partnerships or and new suppliers; Lead domestic and international project teams assigned to research, design, develop, test and/or launch new innovations; ensure projects are completed on time and within budget; Lead product certification activities acting as the Eaton representative- UL/CSA/; Act as a technical advisor to product line managers and/or manufacturing engineers throughout the ProLaunch process; #LI-JF1 Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution; Experience with Pc Board design; Altium, Pads; Advanced English; Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or MBA; Computer knowledge: MS Office, Familiarity with PADS, Altium and CAD tools.
