We are looking forward to a Lead Electronics and PCB Design Engineer in Eaton’s electrical business, based in Shenzhen, China. This exciting role offers opportunity to: Performs complex high-speed digital, analog, and power PCB layout, based on knowledge of the industry standards (i.e., UL, CSA, NEMA, etc.) Performs design, modeling, simulation, and implementation of analog, digital, and power circuits, including microprocessors, DSP’s, FPGA’s, sensor interfaces, and SMPS for the embedded systems and power converters Performs testing and debugging PCB assemblies Analyzes data to improve and optimize the designs. Generates necessary documentation (i.e.design documents, schematics, layouts, drawings, BOMs, etc.) Creates technical reports and presentations. Participates in developing new methods, procedures and design specifications for the electronics and PCB design. Collaborates with hardware engineers, mechanical engineers, firmware engineers, and EMC engineers from concept to post-layout validation. Manages the 3rd party PCB layout services Manages small complexity projects independently. Interfaces with other business unit engineers Qualifications Requirement: BS in electrical engineering or equivalent Minimum 8 years of related engineering experience in PCB layout, especially high-speed and high-current density PCB layout Design, modeling, simulation, and implementation of analog, digital, and power circuits Charaterizing, testing, and debugging PCB asseblies Knowledge of PCB stackup’s, and understanding of materials Significant experience working in ECAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer or Allegro) Experience in developing and design for manufacturing of PCBs deployed in space environments. Knowledge of PCB failure modes and reliability in extreme environments. Familiar with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies and other standard EE lab equipment Customer focused with good relationship building and communication skills Ability to demonstrate problem solving using logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions Ability to learn new skills, knowledge, industry, or products Strong written communication and verbal communication skills in English Yes!
