This exciting role offers opportunity to: Job Summary At Eaton India Innovation Center, Center for Secure Cyber-physical Systems currently has an opening for a Lead Engineer who is passionate about his or her craft. The Lead Engineer will be directly involved in facilitating the architecture, design, and development of Data pipelines, APIs, Microservices and Web portal. The role is also responsible for providing the business and analytics team, with the right data and services, identifying and extracting value and ensure effective data management execute flawless delivery and ensure data accessibility, all at the most effective and efficient cost. An individual would work on to build and maintain hot/cold data pipelines, exposing data and subscription APIs, data storage at scale, data catalogue, data events, data quality validation and ingestion of data coming from various sources such as device telemetry, external services, internal business and contextual or device meta data. Building large scale APIs and message queues with industry standard security mechanisms. Develop portal/WebUI to upload and view data and insights Experience working a full stack development of front end web UI, back end APIs, development portals for integrators and data flow through multiple platforms. Facilitate the day-to-day software operation Demonstrate, present, and document solutions by using flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, code snippets, and performance instruments. Designing and implementing critical high performance, large scale micro services and libraries. Provide work estimates and participate in design, implementation, and code reviews. Building data pipelines for collecting & processing data from multiple data sources, from the point of ingestion to useful insight. Develop guidelines and supporting process for acquiring, storing, and leveraging of data. Technically drive diverse team of talented software developers, testers, Scrum Master, DevOps engineers, and stakeholder interactions. Work with Product Owner to set priorities, ensuring the achievement of deliverables and other milestones, collaborate with other engineering and product teams in the company, establish a technical growth path to team, and improve the way we deliver value to our customers. Work with test teams to ensure adequate and appropriate test case coverage; investigate and fix bugs; facilitate and manage the quality process. Qualifications Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering /Information Technology/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution required. Preferred - Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering from an accredited institution. 8+ years of software engineering experience. 3+ years of experience in data engineering such as data ingestion, storage, modeling, pipelines, sharing and security. 3+ Years in front end and API development Proficient with Java or C# and .Net Technologies and associated IDE’s (Visual Studio, Eclipse, IntelliJ, etc.) Proficient with Databases (relational and non-relational like sqlserver, cosmos, mongodb etc.) Proficient with front end development and using technologies such as React, Angular, Vue Solid understanding of software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts Thorough understanding of object oriented design and programming skills, including the use of design patterns Solid understanding of networking protocols and concepts (websockets, http, tcp, mqtt, amqp) Solid understanding of network and distributed computing concepts Extensive knowledge of cloud development platforms such as Azure or AWS Extensive experience utilizing best practices in software engineering Extensive experience with Agile development methodologies and concepts Strong problem solving and software debugging skills Knowledge of CI/CD concepts, tools, and technologies Yes!
