This exciting role offers opportunity to: Eaton’s Center for Sustainability is looking for highly motivated individuals who is passionate about environmental regulatory certification and has strong inclination towards product compliance domain. The global Lead Engineer will be providing technical and strategic guidance for compliance (chemical, non-material, labelling & energy regulations etc. for Eaton’s broad portfolio of Aerospace products. This work will help business across the enterprises to solve regulations & environmental problems, support new & existing business through product compliance and future proof the business on upcoming regulations. Provide technical leadership on environmental regulations and acts as subject matter expert in Product Stewardship domain for Aerospace products Derive technical & capability roadmap for product compliance domain Provides guidance for the reduction and elimination of high-impact materials and contributes substantially to developing technical solutions for reducing the environmental impact of products Build technical capabilities in the compliance domain; Lead and execute sector level project to mitigate the compliance risk. Collaborate with agencies, standard bodies, sustainable/eco-label certification schemes and trade associations and develop strategies to promote and defend Eaton products and business practices. Collaborate with local / global suppliers for driving effective compliance process and data collection/ validation Understand customer requirements and communicate them to other Eaton teams, and act as the liaison for program activities as appropriate. Interact with key customers/stakeholders in understanding current & upcoming regulatory trends and their relevance on Eaton’s Industrial products. Provides expert resolution on key compliance risk and help business to mitigate the concerns. Finds synergies and leverages engineering capabilities across groups. Qualifications Requirement – Bachelors with 10+ years’ experience / Masters with 6-8 years’/ PhD with 3 to 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance. Degree in mechanical, Electrical/ Electronic, Chemical engineering or allied disciplines (e.g. chemistry, Environment Science etc.) Minimum 10+years of related experience in Product Compliance domain Exceptionally strong technical knowledge in the field of compliance / Product Stewardship Deep dive knowledge on industry specific regulations like REACH, RoHS, CP-65, ELV, TSCA etc. Detail understanding of industry recognized compliance tools such C2P, IMDS, CAMDS, CDX, SAP/EHSM, Enovia etc. Ability to analyses regulations & interpret technical data that can be effectively communicated to product and technology teams Industry recognized certification in compliance (CPPS) and process improvement (DMAIC) will be added advantage Proven track record of building technical capability and roadmaps, mentoring, and coaching junior team members on technical matters. Experience in leading projects with multiple stakeholders in matrix organization and strong project management experience is required. Knowledge of Automation and digitalization tool/ scripts/ language will be added advantages. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills A high degree of aptitude & creativity is required Yes!
