Role Summary:
Provide technical expertise & support to GE Aviation shops & suppliers on material processing & application, to support fast growth of in region supply chain.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Preliminary technical capability assessment of new material source & provide insights for further down selection processes.
• Support material source on NPI & relevant trial, analysis, pre-production review, etc., by working with on-site team.
• Provide technical solution to material related issues at GEA shops & in-region sources to shorten NPI cycle as well as assure robust production.
• Drive material related process optimization to reduce lead time or substantialize cost saving and support resolution of material related design change integration and quality events.
  

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Material science/engineering or relevant discipline.
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills, both in English and Chinese.
• At least 3-year work experience on Material processing/application or relevant manufacturing/engineering functions.
• Familiar with metallic material processes and correspondent controls; relevant aviation mfg/product experience is a plus.
